 Jericho is using a new race scoring program which not only shows race results, but also shows overall, cumulative results for the Sunday and Tuesday night Series. All results are at jracing.org , where you can see results for every boat that took part in every race scored so far. However, you will only see competitors' names if they have registered.
Registration is available online for Series events. A link at jracing.org will take you to a form with two boxes: a drop down list of names, and an empty box. If you have already registered, select your name from the drop down list. If this is your first time registering, enter your name in the empty box.
Click "Enter" to see a registration form with rows for up to four new registrations. Any existing registrations are shown in rows below. If you need to enter more than four new registrations, click Enter to get four new, empty rows for adding more registrations.
You must register for the dates you race in each boat you sail. If you always sail the same boat (or at least use the same sail number) it's simple - just register for that class and sail number, with start and end dates that cover the season (the default is January 1 to December 31). If you sail different boats (classes and/or sail numbers), you need to register for the day or days you race each boat.
If you sail a co-op owned boat, you should register each time you race a particular boat. (Make the start date and end date the same). You can put in a date range, as long as it doesn't cover the days when someone else raced the same boat. (Google's "Chrome" browser will pop up a convenient calendar for editing dates. In other browsers you can edit the dates directly.)
Note that Sail "numbers" don't actually have to be numbers. If you raced a boat with no sail number, and the results show it as (say) "Red Laser", you should enter "Red Laser" as the sail number when you register.
You can choose the role of either skipper or crew (the default is skipper). In a two person boat, "skipper" will be listed before "crew" in the results. (A couple of other roles are there for future development.)
You can edit any field (name, class, sail number, dates, or role) in any existing registration. Changing a name (e.g. to correct a misspelling) changes it for all registrations. To delete a specific registration, delete the sail number (no other registrations will be affected).
Once you register, your name will be shown in the Sunday or Tuesday night results, and you will be added to the cumulative results for that Series and class (e.g. Sunday Series, Laser). The results are updated by the program when you register, and you can register at any time (but the sooner the better!)
One final point. This program is still in beta, and you may see some changes over the season. You may also have problems with it, or see something that isn't right. If so, please send an email to info@jracing.org. and I will do my best to resolve the issue. Suggestions for improvements are also welcome.
